Confirmation

The Grace of Pentecost, Continued

The Sacrament of Confirmation completes our Baptismal Grace. Through this Sacrament, we are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit.

On several occasions Christ promised this outpouring of the Holy Spirit — a promise He fulfilled first on Easter Sunday, and then at Pentecost. The Sacrament of Confirmation continues the Grace of Pentecost in the Church.

Preparing for Confirmation

To prepare to receive Confirmation, our Partners-in-Faith Faith Formation program is designed to form the whole family. Classes are for children from Transitional Kindergarten through their celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation — and while youth are in their classes, parents participate in adult formation and fellowship led by our Director of Faith Formation, Cynthia Mulcaire.

For more information and to register, visit our Children’s Faith Formation page. You can also contact our Faith Formation Ministry at 530-677-3234 or by email at ffm@holytrinityparish.org.

Confirmation Through OCIA

Confirmation is also part of the Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA), a unique process for adults, youth, and children who desire to grow in their relationship with God through the Catholic faith — primarily for those who are unbaptized, and for baptized Christians interested in exploring Catholicism or completing their initiation.

Holy Trinity Catholic School

Our parish also offers an exceptional Catholic school, committed to helping children in TK through 8th grade grow in Christ through hospitality, prayer, formation, and service. The religious education at the school includes Confirmation. Visit Holy Trinity Catholic School for more information.
